Home is where the heart is!
|It really is.|
We moved! The blog has been incredibly quiet and for that I apologise profusely. I do have to thank my in-laws for their patience as we cohabited with them for a lengthy period, my own parents for forever being there when I need them – and my Grandmother for always making sure I feel loved, even when the world around me isn’t so friendly. Living this side of the Pennines gives me a good old boot of homesickness to the stomach every so often, and I miss everyone dearly. Hopefully now we have a place to call our own, we can invite visitors over and introduce them to our little home!
Yes, that’s right. We have our own little nest and after over six months of working hard to get it, it feels like a little piece of heaven. We have a lot of work to do on it – the garden, the house itself, both are in dire need of a little tender loving care but despite its quirks we do love living here. I have the gardening bug and when I can I’m in our front yard with the roses – even though the weather has been pretty unforgivable lately I have ventured out in the rain to turn the soil over. I’ve never been a fan of gardening, insects don’t bother me unless they swarm – and the front yard is full of ants. Something I’ve had to face up to in order to look after my beloved roses.
We also welcomed a new addition to our family – Rusty the rabbit. He’ll feature on the blog plenty over the coming months I assure you. Along with the children, he keeps both me and Mike on our toes and away from the laptops – which isn’t a bad thing!
All in all, lots of positive changes around the world of Tilly – I hope to be back posting regularly over the coming weeks, with a few posts already lined up. Please feel free to leave me the links to posts you have made over the time I’ve been away that you’re particularly proud of – I’d love to catch up and have a good read!
