Pumpkin Patches In The North West 2018!

Something I’m really looking forward to this season is taking Baby Button pumpkin picking for the first time. In his little Halloween costume. I have no shame, I know – but he’ll only be tiny and compliant for a few years, I need to squeeze in as much cliche, embarrassing stuff as I can before he grows up… Which he’s doing far too fast.

I spent a long time poking around the internet looking for potential pumpkin patches – and here are the places I’ve discovered so far!

πŸŽƒ AppleJacks Adventure Farm, Warrington WA4 4NW – AppleJacks is opening it’s pumpkin patch from October the 6th! Check the website to book your tickets, the patch is full to the brim of pumpkins ready to pick. It’s Β£12.50 to enter the park (or Β£6.25 if you take advantage of the 2 for 1 offer on their website) and the pumpkins are provided free if you book before the 20th of October via the website.

This is perfect if you want to make a day of pumpkin picking, as you can explore what the adventure park has to offer – have you see our vlog?

πŸŽƒ Kenyon Hall Farm, Warrington WA3 7ED – Pumpkin picking is on the cards from the second week of October onwards. Pumpkins are priced according to size, from Β£2 to Β£15 or if you prefer to just choose one already picked, they’re available at the same price. Carving is Β£3 with the kit included.

πŸŽƒ Grange Farm Country Store, Lowton WA3 1JU – As well as a pumpkin patch holding around 4500 pumpkins Grange Farm has a whole host of events lined up this October including: a Halloween dress up party for children, screenings of Ghostbusters and Hocus Pocus as well as a pumpkin hunt on select days. These events are all ticket only, which you can source via the Facebook page.

πŸŽƒ The Hayloft, Widnes WA8 3XP – no booking necessary, from the 20th until the 31st of October (opening times 10am until 4pm) this pumpkin patch features some rather spooky ‘ghost’ pumpkins in white! A carving shed is also available on site.

πŸŽƒ Garswood Pumpkin Patch, Wigan WN4 0XH – the dates for this patch are 10am till 4pm on the 13th and 14th of October, and then from the 20th until the 30th of October from 10am until 4pm.

πŸŽƒ Malpas Pick Your Own, Wrexham SY13 4RA – I recommend visiting the Facebook page to check on dates that the patch is available to the public – pumpkins are Β£3.50, and carving isn’t available on site due to health and safety.

πŸŽƒ Pumpkin Alley Pick Your Own, Ormskirk L39 7LS or L39 7JJ – These pumpkin patches are currently open in the run up to Halloween from 10am until 5pm, pumpkins are Β£4 each or three for Β£10.

πŸŽƒ The Pumpkin Patch Mini Pick Your Own Pumpkins, Scarisbrick L40 8JQ – open from October the 13th, this patch has a whole range of pumpkins for you to pick – and this year, they’re supporting the Liverpool Children’s Cancer Support Group so make sure you pick up a raffle ticket for the cause!

πŸŽƒ Church View Farm, Liverpool L31 4HJ – the patch opens on October 6th, no other details are available as yet. A photographer is offering photo shoots onsite if you don’t want to take your own photographs – details are on the Facebook page.

πŸŽƒ The Pumpkin Patch Hightown, Liverpool L38 5DA – from the 29th of September until the 31st of October, these pumpkins have been tended to all season to ensure each one is well loved and ready for picking. Lots of varieties of pumpkin are ready for you to pick here!

πŸŽƒ Windmill Animal Farm, Burscough L40 1UQ – from the 13th of October, Windmill Animal Farm recommend you pull on a pair of wellies and get stuck in at their pumpkin patch on which they planted 15,000 pumpkins. Wheelbarrows are provided!

Honourable mentions;

πŸŽƒ Bents Garden Centre, Glazebury WA3 5NT – from the 25th until the 28th of October Bents are holding pumpkin painting workshops for as little as Β£6. Book your session online!

To be confirmed;

πŸŽƒ Roby Mill Pumpkin Patch, Wigan WN8 0QY – keep up to date via the Facebook page, details to be confirmed.

This list is being updated as I discover more pumpkin patches, if you have your own little treasure please feel free to share it!
