Essential Family Beach Buys!

I love the beach, so visiting with the family is a must when we can. In this post, I’m exploring the world of beach-worthy gadgets – when dealing with two children, gadgets can be a lifesaver. Here are my absolute favourites!
During the compilation of this list, I’ve tried to include a variety of different items – some for the adults, some for the children and some for everyone when you have a day on the beach planned. I’ve also tried to keep under a £30 budget, as quite frankly spending more than that on an item just for the beach doesn’t seem all that purse friendly to me.

Tivoli Picnic Cooler Bag – £29.99 – this little find from Lakeland allows you to store enough food for the family and keep it cool for up to four hours. I love the way that this little bag looks just like a quaint picnic basket – the classic look is really appealing to me!
Sunnylife Beach Sounds Portable Speaker – £25 – Battery powered and water resistant, you can turn your smart phone into a mobile DJ set. A must have for the whole family, whether sunbathing or playing games in the sand.

Waterproof Tablet Sleeve – currently on sale at £11.99 – we do have a lot of technology in the family. Tablets are used none stop (Hearthstone, Mike and Megan and Tristan all indulge in this quite heavily) so a waterproof sleeve is essential to stop any mishaps with water or sand.

Flamingo Cup Holders – £2.99 for six – something fun, for the picnic. Stop those cans of pop falling into the sand with these quirky little guys, at least you’ll find your drink in a hurry!

Solar Powered Battery Charger – £10.99 – again, relating to the technology side. This would be perfect, and it’d keep me taking pictures on my phone because it comes with adaptable plugs for almost all devices.

Beach Shelter – £27.99 – a modern take on the parasol. This is a sleek, ultra light shelter which will offer you shade from the sun and a little shelter from any beach breezes. I think this is perfect for creating your own shade, and making your own space on the beach a little more private.

Beach Tennis Set – £15.99 – for the children – and Mike. We usually take a rugby ball onto the beach, but I can see many a tennis tournament happening which this little set and at just over £15 it really is a steal.

Beach Towel In A Bag – £10 – everyone needs a beach towel – I’m no exception. Perfect for stowing away in the months you don’t need it, this towel can be folded back into a bag in a jiffy to stash in the boot of the car.

Pineapple Cup – £3 – I added these as a little bit of an after thought – our children tend to moan and complain about sand getting in their drinks, so having these would stop any tantrums in the making. At £3, the fun summery shape only adds to their charm.
