Well, this week is much better than last week!
The Norovirus ran its course and we have been able to get out over the weekend to enjoy time with friends. Saturday was the hugely popular town show, and we had a good wander around — seeing some of our favourite friends from the playgroups we used to attend, which was absolutely wonderful. It’s amazing seeing our little people grow up, and they’re all looking like.. Well, little people as opposed to babies now.
BB got lots of attention from people running tombolas, and we have a selection of new stuffed animals in his room. I’m going to be clearing them out, so no doubt those who attend next year will get one or two of BB’s preloved favourites.
Sunday we got our party outfits on and went to our local churches BBQ. We attended playgroup there for a while until BB’s naps changed and we had to stop — but they’ve given him a place in September so we can start being social again. The BBQ was great fun, BB actually climbed a slide and slid down it before waiting his turn to have another go! He’s never done that before and I’m glad I caught it on camera for Mike to see!
Today has been chore day, so the photo I’m sharing is of my favourite boy on the ‘big bed’ rolling around in clean sheets. He’s always slept in his own cot, so being on the ‘big bed’ brings out his mischievous side and I love it!
Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood and its trials & tribulations. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and each Monday I’m going to share a moment from our week. Over the course of 52 weeks, I’ll have a series of snapshots built up which shows my little boy blossoming!
