We were lucky enough to visit Bents Garden Centre this week with a group of friends, and BB had the chance to explore their play area and sand pit. This photo is one of three I managed to get of him in the sand pit, as he kept climbing out of it for the rest of the morning!
We did explore the outdoor play area too, but it was so busy I didn’t get chance to snap any pictures as I was watching BB. Lots of bigger, older children were at Bents the same day as us and while BB knows no fear, he’s always bumbling around and an easy target to knock over.
We then spent some time wandering around the garden centre itself, too — investigating some of the beautiful plants on sale there, touching the water fountains (very gently!) and having a look at some of the garden statues. One was a life sized snarling lion, and while BB wasn’t keen on him we did investigate lots of the other animals on offer.
Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood and its trials & tribulations. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and each Monday I’m going to share a moment from our week. Over the course of 52 weeks, I’ll have a series of snapshots built up which shows my little boy blossoming!
